Gold Dust Web builds and manages websites for small businesses. This page explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and what we do with it.
What we collect
- Information you send us. Your name, email address, business name and anything else you write in our contact form, checkout form, onboarding questionnaire, or send us by email.
- Order details. When you check out, your name, email, business name and plan selections are sent to our checkout service so we can create your order. Your card details go directly to Stripe (below) — they never touch our servers.
- Project material. Photos, business hours, service descriptions and other content you give us so we can build your site.
- Service logs. Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) keeps standard, short-lived request logs we use to keep the site running and prevent abuse. We don't run advertising or cross-site tracking, and there are no analytics cookies on this site.
Your browser also stores your in-progress plan selections and questionnaire answers locally on your device (localStorage) so nothing is lost between pages. That data stays in your browser — it isn't tracking, and you can clear it anytime through your browser settings.
Why we collect it
- To answer your inquiry.
- To process your order and subscription payments.
- To design, build, host and maintain your website.
- To send you receipts and service-related messages.
What we don't do
- We do not sell, rent or trade your information.
- We do not add you to marketing lists without your consent.
- We do not make cold calls.
Who else sees it
We use a small set of service providers to run our business, and each one only receives what it needs:
- Stripe processes payments and stores your card for subscription renewals (Stripe's privacy policy).
- Cloudflare hosts this site and provides Turnstile, the anti-bot check on our forms.
- Google Fonts serves the typefaces on this site, which involves your browser requesting files from Google's servers.
- Email delivery, domain registration and our own form service handle messages and domains on our behalf.
How long we keep it
We keep inquiry messages while we're in touch and for a reasonable period afterward. We keep client project files and billing records for as long as you're a client and as long as required for accounting and tax purposes.
Your choices
You can ask us at any time to show you what information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Email [email protected] and we'll take care of it.
Security
We use reputable providers, encrypted connections (HTTPS) and access controls to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, but we treat your data as carefully as we treat our own.
Changes
If we update this policy we'll change the date at the top of this page.
